ANNETTE K., DACM, MSOM, L. Ac.

My career in the healing arts began with my training and practice as a massage therapist. I practiced massage for six years and during this time I developed a sensitive and intuitive approach to healing. I have also spent time studying the social aspects of healing and illness.

Acupuncture called to me both because its treatments were very helpful to me personally and because I wanted to learn a more exacting and internal practice. Acupuncture seemed both very simple and quite complex – treating many issues of disease by inserting fine needles into points along meridian flows in the body. In addition to acupuncture, I have received training in herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha – practices that are all part of a long and diverse tradition of Asian medical tradition.

I recently completed a DACM degree focusing on advanced treatment and research within an Integrative Medicine context. I feel honored to be a practitioner in this tradition and am grateful to many teachers who have found the patience to reach across cultures to share this knowledge.

SCOTT H., LMT

Scott has been practicing rolfing since 2018. He is a Certified Rolfer® with the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute, a Board-Certified Structural Integrator with the International Association of Structural Integrators, and a Licensed Massage Therapist in Arizona.

He became interested in bodywork over the course of his 30 years practicing Tai Chi, Qigong, yoga, and meditation. After 20 years teaching Art Management at the University of Oregon, he decided to make a professional change that built on his personal movement and meditation practice by becoming a Certified Rolfing®.

Scott provides Rolfing SI to adults for health maintenance, self-care, and personal growth. His clients include people seeking relief from past traumas, old injuries and pain management; who desire improved physical performance and body mechanics; and who have tried other bodywork modalities with no success. Scott loves working with clients who have a background in martial arts, yoga, meditation, or other awareness practices. He also enjoys working with clients who would like to learn and expand on their body awareness.
